Both blogger and wordpress provide free blogs, but with some limitations. In this article let us see about the major difference between these two blogging platforms.
Design:
-Wordpress provides wide range of design (templates) but where as in blogger they are limited.
-Blogger dashboard provides features like uploading your own designed theme, where as in wordpress it is not possible.
-You can edit the style sheet for free in both platforms.
-Alteration of footer links is not possible in .wordpress blogs but can be done in .blogspot blogs.
Advertisements and Codes:
-You can show your own adsense ads in blogger, but it is not possible in .wordpress blogs.
-You cannot add tracking codes in widget section of wordpress blog, but you can do it in blogger blogs.
Traffic and SEO:
-Wordpress provides best positioning in Google with better SEO than in blogger.
-You can get more traffic via .wordpress blogs than in .blogspot blogs.
-Your contents will be indexed soon in .wordpress than in .blogspot blogs.
User-friendly:
-Blogger is simple and easy when compared to wordpress. User need not be a trained person to use blogger dashboard, all options are clear and clear. Editing the xML is an easy job than editing a PHP style sheet in WordPress.
